Offshore sand and gravel extraction involves the abstraction of sediments from a bed which is always covered with seawater. Dayle: ive read that its important to put sand or substrate into stalkings or fine mesh bags on top of existing cycled substrate. Needs a week or two to establish bacteria. Helps to maximize keeping a balanced cycle. But even that isnt enough, I think adding living bacteria with all new substrate, especially when changing up tank size, should be included as a part of the proccess for the safty.

Kinetic Sand is moldable, but does NOT hold shapes as well as CoolSand. (e.g. a "ball" of CoolSand will sit on my counter, but Kinetic Sand will probably crumble and melt just from the pressure of putting it down) Both KS and CS "flow" about the same when in their soft state.
